Pseudo exacerbation wins the pain wars!

TA DA! I am happy to know that when some things in life occur it truly is mind over matter to turn them around! That’s not to say I am feeling all better it just means that I am not any worse. And I do believe that is a good thing? Although, it is not for keeping stress at a minimum, oh no, today was once again a very odd day to say the least, except at our lunch time, but I will get back to that in a minute… Hubby and I went to my eye doc today, Dr. Cole my also eye surgeon with Eye Health, and I am now mentioning him by name since he is definitely a fine man and good person. His tech’s removal of my eye plugs to help with my tears, but did not work on me, since mine are way too severely dry for it to work. I think, since I still had to use my eye drops the same as if they weren’t implanted into my tear ducts and so with a few numbing drops and a steady hand the technician removed them and due to me not using them I will be receiving a refund? Well, I had set up a payment plan since they did come in at a higher price than what I was told by a tech that quit and is no longer there, she had said my insurance would cover them, but the bill I received after indicated to me and that they were NOT covered and thus my payment plan of tidy increments and at the time I was asked how they were working and I said not very well, and explained that I seem to need my eye drops just as often. It was then that I was told that they could be removed; I had thought they were permanent… and thus what initiated the visit today and I was also told there was no charge for removal and that the bill would be no longer an issue. That is why I was wondering why they wanted to give me a refund I said, no it was already discussed, but they insisted someone would get back to me. PS I already had made my first payment on the plan I set up that must be what they meant refund wise. Anyway, the doctor, Cole was just as pleasant as could be and gave me another box of eye drops too! The thicker gel type seem to work the best for me in The Blink brand I used to use the regular type in Systane and the one the doc gave me was their new gel one… now I was well supplied! The issue that created slight havoc was the continuing, periodic loss of our DSL and every time I call they insist they will have the repair guy call me back and he never does! At first when it went down this morning I called and they said he was coming over today and I said that he was asked to call first and he hadn’t, since today I had a doctor’s appointment, and I have many, so we need to know. You see he will be running a new line from the pole underground into our garage where the telephone is with our electric service which is done remotely or some such thing; no one comes in to read it… But for them we have to be home and Hubby has to make sure they put it in an appropriate place not with an ugly pipe up the side of our house which they suggested! Everyone I spoke to said the problem has to be diagnosed or some other DSL jargon that they insinuated that the problem that was finally diagnosed on the fourth was not written on their computer screens, and there is where my stress level went in that bad direction. Records showed that my first complaint about this problem was on August first and yet it took that lovely tech Helen to realize on February fourth what actually was causing our disconnects, not the old or new modems they supplied but corrosion on the lines! Now the computers are not showing her finding! Moving on to the highlight of the day… lunch at the Olive Garden soup, mine Minestrone, Hubby’s Chicken Gnocchi both with salad and breadsticks, not low cal I am more than sure, but a great stress reliever in my book and treated very well too there… we hadn’t been in ages and lunch there isn’t bad price wise for what we had…$6.95 plus beverages… that’s the gotchas and of course tax. Why is it that comfort food is so comforting, hmm? On that more upbeat note, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you to kindly count all your blessings and share all those overages with you know who and we will too! And next time please be here of be square, ya hear?!
