Veterans Day

The day to remember, perhaps I was a bit harsh when I suggested they had changed the day instead of realizing that an entire weekend, plus a day had been dedicated to its remembrance. I hope for the rest of you that have people fighting in the many international wars these days that we have had a full day of prayers to keep them safe; actually it should be a daily occurrence. It is wonderful to remember those who have passed on as well as those past wars, but today we are still engaged in many wars abroad. My heart and tears are with all of you who are in that position…and we can only wish that they are safe everyday of the year. The history of this solemn day is explained here: http://www1.va.gov/opa/vetsday/vetdayhistory.asp The children should always know why we have such days and why they are off from school too. Moving on… Today for us was quiet here too. Laundry and yard work was accomplished; Hubby the yard work and I the laundry, but you knew that. I did do some reading, as I said I can read short articles before my left eye says no more. That is why reading a book as I used to do is next to impossible; a book a day was how my voracious appetite was once satisfied, but sadly no more. If I ever did try to consume any I have found that I am not disciplined enough to stop and before I know it my lefty, i.e. eye, is acting as if it was under severe torture and fights back with either pain or blurriness or double vision; not nice at all. And books on tape only work for people who know how to listen; a skill, sadly, I still have not attained…And I have lost my enthusiasm to pursue, shame on me. The magazine I was reading was the Multiple Sclerosis one that I receive periodically and it did have a few interesting articles about not comparing your MS with others since we all experience ours differently from any others. GEEZ, I sure knew that one! On Facebook I do know a few others there with Multiple Sclerosis too, and we are all different in our symptoms to how we attack our ways of handling them…medicinally and therapy wise etc. As different as there are ways these days to treat it thankfully! On that note, please allow me to be the first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you kindly to count all your blessings and share those overages and we will too! And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?
