Nice talking to a distant relative by marriage and not so nice...

This morning I awoke at a normal time, that's not to say that I was sleeping soundly all night, because I didn't. Actually, the time I woke up was rather late, 7:42 AM. Yes, that even surprised me. But sadly, even with that my body wasn't working so well and when I arose, my left leg appeared to have something wrong with it; the pain was excruciating and familiar. This pain ran down the back of my leg from my hip/butt to my ankle, as if I hit my funny bone, which we all know is in our elbow, ain’t anatomy great! Nah, of course I'm kidding, it was sciatica, which I haven't had in years and it usually was on my right side anyway, so this was just downright weird. And taking an odder turn with numbness sensations intermingling too bi-laterally! The only thing I could come up with is when I was lying down on the bench of the MRI machine table yesterday, even though I had a pillow under my legs, since this was for my neck, but that still doesn't make any sense. Sure, a lot of things don't make sense and we all sure know that. So from experience I knew what to do get an ice pack and start cooling it down 20 min. on, 20 min. off and see what happens. And then I also needed to wear my cervical collar most all of the morning due to pain and numbness radiating down my arms and hands and once again scaring me. Gosh, it's so nice to have a Hubby for these times, as usual came through, since he always has my back. As trite as it seems at this point in my life he was the man to depend on most of this morning. I suppose my problem with my neck is not that severe, since the report has not come back and on their site it states that if it is it will be sent immediately to the doctor. Although, the office where the MRI was done says the report takes 24 to 48 hours to be sent; who knows... I have alienated even the nurses in many doctors’ office by thinking that they should get back to me as soon as they get the information, good or bad. And believe me even when it's been bad they've taken their time. I am probably the reason due to my impatience, oh well; we reap what we sow, who knows where that came from? Yep, the bible! Meaning what we do has consequences, well a giant OOPS for me, huh? Now, how did I know that; old or new testament? Has to be old, that’s the only one I studied, well not studied learned about… Is this my punishment? Can’t be, too many good people have horrid ills, but are way nicer than me these days! Any-who… knows; a good time for me to move on…, Now the relative thingy, everything is relative, kidding, or am I? I noticed on my distant cousin’s Facebook page a familiar name, my maiden minus the suffix. So I got curious, and went to this other person's site on Facebook and read a little bit about her and then I sent her a message with a question about if we were related and also a request for friending her. We started our conversation on the messaging section, and she said that her husband was related to me and that I was the same generation as his parents. I was confused, as we all know that doesn't take much to do, but in her information it stated that she was older than I. I took advantage of the situation, by teasing her and asking her how much younger her husband was than her. You see, I began to tell her how old I was and that might be incorrect the information she was given. Although, the possibility could be correct, since many of my cousins on my father’s side are 20 years older than me, and that is only due to the fact that he comes from a large family and he was the middle child. Besides that, I was the product of a second marriage and my dad was 43 and my mom was 39 when I was born. And so possibly that's where the problem of the generational confusion gave credence to that likelihood; anything is plausible. Interestingly, she is a writer as well, with leanings towards nonfiction and genealogy, of course of her family. The reason I said 'of course', is due to the fact that's one of the first things they teach you in writing class is to write about what you know. Coincidences are interesting and perhaps this new found relative, although distant, and only by marriage could prove to be a rather nice find as a friend. Unfortunately, she lives 3000 miles away, pen pals are nice too and today e-mail is fast as well as messaging; and so we will see what we will see as long as I can see. On that ridiculous last comment was based on fear, disregard or dispose of however you desire, and allow me to be the first to wish you a very happy good night and ask you kindly to count all your blessings and share your overages and we will too! And please be here or be square, ya hear!
