The eyes have it!

Tonight I decided that I would speak my mind about another problem that occurred a few days ago, but I suppose it may not be that serious since it does seem to not have gotten any worse.
I do wear my glasses since I was told to by the docs with my MS that I can’t wear the contacts anymore, after over forty years.
Mostly because of me not taking care of them after all these years and causing too many close calls of damaging my eyesight permanently with scratched and ulcerated corneas. So for over a year now I have been a good girl who has been back to wearing my glasses, ugh! Hated them when at sixteen I was told I needed to wear them all the time too, thus the year of the contacts.
My left eye has become very blurry, and I for a while I thought it was my dirty and scratched lenses on my glasses, hopefully anyway, but no I cleaned them then I asked hubby to clean them, and the problem is still there. The other thing is I took the glasses off, because for the last seven years I haven’t had to wear glasses to read with, I know crazy the doctor says it has something to do with my mild cataracts, on a scale from one to ten they are a three. Well, that proved the problem was still there since now my left eye is no good/blurry and that it was still no good for reading either! And yes, I wore mono lenses for fourteen years previously for the reading and distance problems.
If it wasn’t the weekend and me thinking last week that it was only a temporary problem I would have gone to the eye doc already, since they are one of the few that we can afford.
So tomorrow after my other appointment I will have to go.
This site shows exactly what I am seeing; the one on the left is what I see: http://www.mult-sclerosis.org/opticneuritis.html (I had an aha moment when I saw it and was finally able to show hubby too! It was wild to actually see what I was seeing!)
If it wasn’t for the MS I suppose I wouldn’t be too concerned.

But there is another eye disorder that has the same symptoms, which I am also border line for, which is Diabetic Retinopathy it can happen to both type two and type one, and so concern is looming large until I know what I am dealing with for sure. After all we all know that knowledge is power!

Another minor or little thing going on is my head had been hurting on that (left) side on the temple and also at the nape of my neck, aha stress, tension! At least the neck part I must get to the bottom of this with the facts of what actually is going on, nothing but the facts folks that’s all I want! What price peace of mind I like to say…

On that note, and the fact that this is not very easy to do tonight I must admit, I will wish you all a good night, be safe, and count those blessings and I will too!

Speaking My Mind: Which way will the war go?
